How we estimate.

• Your bill, less the daily supply charge, gives your daily power use.
• We size solar to cover about 110% of that use, at around 4 kWh per kW per day, typical for the Gold Coast across a year.
• Power you use as it’s generated saves the full usage rate. The rest is exported at the feed-in tariff, or stored if you add a battery.
• Budgets are the same ranges as our solar & battery budgets page, after typical small-scale rebates.
